Like Valerie, I thought your dialog was very well done. It flowed easily without too many dialog tags (my problem with dialog) and the exchange between Danny and Karen rang true of two people who knew other as younger.

Your description using smell were also good. I can remember a place like this and immediately your story took me there.

Well done:~)

Unfortunately, the profiles I'm offered will not let you read my take on this prompt. They all seem so much smaller, and not as 'grand.' The Karen character seems to be resigned to nothing really changing, and that makes how much the Danny character did change, so poignant.Tara R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02993625193184914299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334632485304709507.post-79262058699889605982013-02-12T19:05:35.990-05:002013-02-12T19:05:35.990-05:00I grasped so much about your characters in such a ...I grasped so much about your characters in such a short space - well done.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334632485304709507.post-5637242077454200192013-02-12T14:08:02.517-05:002013-02-12T14:08:02.517-05:00That's simultaneously sweet and sad -- Karen&#...That's simultaneously sweet and sad -- Karen's awfully young to already feel like she's failed.
